What about vented header panels? As in - send yours in and you guys punch the holes for the vents in?

Pretty much anything plastic. It breaks and is generally a crappy material for automobiles. Sunroof gears anyone?
wheel spacers will be a piece of cake . also i had my front panel cut and it looks really nice. i can post some pics if u want to see them. i have painted it yet but i will post some pics. Yes i agree very much with the sunvisor clips always break. i went through two sets in my NA back in the day. Also i have the dam arm rest breaking too. cheap plastic

I actually considered making wheel spacer sets also, but if you guys have the equipment to do them, have at it. I've never understood why a piece of metal with ten counter-sunk holes in it is so g-damned expensive. The lugs are another issue since they have to be of proper strength to handle the stresses placed on them, but when I see spacer sets for $300, $400, $500 and more it drives me insane. I've never understood this.

If you guys can make 'em for a reasonable price, I'd absolutely go in on that.

The vented header idea would be great - I think what deters a lot of people is the cutting & bending required to get the vents in. Also a customized intercooler scoop for 951s that would duct air from the header vents to the I/C would be nice.

jeff me and danno are doing some draw up as we speak and i will be heading down to the machine shop today and discuss on production. I believe we can sell these for under 150 maybe and they will have a bunch of different features. Also the vents i will post some pics and u can tell me what u think

Sign me up for those brush Stanless door sills @ reasonable $$$s.

Another idea is a Skid bar to fit under the nose of 968's and 964's. These bars are available for older 911's and 993's but because the 964 and 968 where low production series they are often overlooked by the aftermarket folks. Both of these cars have low front pannels that are often damaged on parking lot curbs. The bars need a strong bracket attachment that fits between the bumber cover and under tray to some points on the chassis. The external Bar would look nice in 1" round stainless. For an example see page 90 in the current Mid America Motorworks catalog for the 993 version part #413-033 @ $250.

Some other stuff that comes to mind (but might be impractical due to extensive amount of fabrication / two-way bending required):

- batwings
- dash caps (paintable METAL dash caps. How great would THAT be? They could even be vinyled)
- j-boots / assorted plumbing
- cool boxes / block-off plates for those using cone filters
- rear seat replacement (kind of like the plywood one someone's working on, but it might actually be easier and cleaner-looking with sheet metal / break)
- roll cages

The limitations are only money, time and metalwork skill. . .

I say sun visor clips, maybe a performance intake manifold. Such as a shorter runner with a bigger box for a plenum. A short shift lever would be nice. But make it so it could retain the stock ****.

How about machined 6061-T6 aluminum odometer gears? I dont know about you guys, but i want to be able to reset my odometer at 200+ mph.

I too would also be interested in the plastic carpet hold down. Brushed aluminum would look good. How about 6061-T6 aluminum, i want to be able to weight 400 pounds and stand on that!

Jeremy. if you want an alternative to the DIN gauge panels, check out http://www.968engineering.com/ . Dave G. is a great guy and makes a quality gauge panel for a pretty reasonable price.

i would be in for door sills too. i would prefer brushed, but it doesnt matter really.

i would also be in for spacers at a resonable price.

Remember that there are a lot of cross-over parts between the 944s and the 924s. Don't forget about us 924 owners! Here's my wish list:
  1. carpet hold down sill (like everyone else in this thread!)
  2. 4x108 wheel spacers
  3. 5x130 wheel spacers
  4. internal door handles in billet aluminum
  5. main instrument cluster dress up face plate
  6. pass side hood prop and bracket (for those of us without hood struts...I have a fully functioning prototype)
  7. manual sunroof latches and repair kits (particularly the front latches)
  8. hood release lever in billet aluminum
  9. replacement for center speaker grill that serves as a two-gauge pod
