Default Stolen 944 in Sacramento-New car update

Serge just called me from the road and is dropping by with the replacement 84 he bought. I've been on the road and am totally blown away from the generosity of the Rennlist response. All of you that helped him get back on the road please take a bow. I'll take some pics for him to post....sunroof delete is sweet!

Well, I'm back in a 944. Thanks again to everyone who helped me. This would not be happening without you guys. She's not in perfect shape, but has strong engine, recent clutch, and no sunroof. Track guys take note in case I sell it in the future

The previous owner wasn't very car savvy and tried to do "body work," which only made the car even worse. You can tell by the pictures. Steve and I managed to get a lot of the old crap off and even removed ALL of the bondo work on the hood. Steve, thanks again for helping out!

First thing I need to do is get a small diameter steering wheel as my legs barely fit under there.

As for the problems, I think I have a bad power steering pump, bad motor mounts or misaligned balance shafts, dirty brake fluid, and good ol San Francisco rust on some of the hardware. I'll be doing a belt job soon, as their is are no records.

My new car isn't without irony - it used to be the color of my old car, before getting repainted.

Looks like some kind of textured paint on the RR fender before you fixed it!

Is that red paint in front of the RF wheel?

I like the color... is that a brown interior?

Congrats Serge. That quarter panel looks pretty rough, but it looks like the Bondo is fixing that pretty quick.

Hey Serge,

I've been travelling on business and away from Rennlist. To my horror I discovered that some lowlife had stolen your pride and joy. Looks like you will have some more expenses. $100 on its way from me. Let me know if you need any parts or labor help.

The red paint on the front valence is garnet red. This car used to be my old car's color. Coincidence? Fate?

Brad, Thanks again.

My '86 has been recovered. Everything was stolen inside (all my tools, oakleys, cds, etc) and the stereo was also pulled out. They definitely stole more cars than just mine. There was a face from a different cd player in the car, pills, bandaids, a napkin with blood, 4 brand new rolls of duct tape (i know, wtf?), a ford alarm remote, and other really weird ****.

As for the really bad stuff, they burnt the clutch, the tranny makes more noise now, the steering is making a mechanical noise, and the car is idling low.

I'm going to put my enkei wheels, weltmeister sway bars, and some other misc stuff on the '84 and not quite sure what I will do with it after that.

Pics coming soon.

Wow that's crazy. Is insurance going to cover damage from the theft?

Nope. Liability only. Maybe I'll get lucky and someone will rear end me.

I'm just really happy that it's not a complete loss and I can use a lot of my upgrades on the new car.

I'll try to take as many kinks out of it and then sell it for cheap.

Serge,
Glad to hear it was recovered! Sadly they damaged it pretty good eh. Keep in touch with me if you plan on selling it. I'm looking for an N/A that needs some work.
