If the fender is in excellent shape, real good paint, and you like the idea, go for it. It isn't like its that far out of line. My only real thought to add in this, is that even if the paint is "the same color" and in great shape, you'll sometimes see a difference between your paint, and the replacement fender, just because of the difference in fading, and slight shade differences from the factory. It will be next to impossible to know for sure until you actually have it on the car, and can see it out in bright sunlight. Chances are it will be slightly different, but probably acceptable. I've got to do the same thing, but I know whatever I put on, it will have to be taken down to be color matched with the car, due to car being repainted a few years ago, and even though its "Guards red", I know it won't be the same as original.
Where? Ebay, and some of us parters.

I got a color matching fender from a lister for $125 shipped. Its not PERFECT, but close. I'm doing a front end respray anways, so this will fit the bill nicely. My other fender would've been a huge PITA to get strait again.

I have had a fender that I am trying to sell for $75 since I got my parts car so many months ago. Problem is finding a way to ship the damn thing, it is really quite large.

To remove: *Lift the hood and undo all bolts on the top of the fender.
*Take out the inner fender lining and remove three bolts on the back by the door.(these will more than likely be covered by this rubberized putty and will have to be dug out)
*Three or four bolts attaching the air dam to the fender.
* One or two on the bottom of the fender.
*The fender is attached with adhesive to the body of the car along the top edge (you will have to cut that from the inside with a box cutter to break the fender loose without damaging anything)

Oops...oone bolt that connects the fender to the front nose right under the headlight.
*Lift the headlights and remove the rubber weatherstripping under the headlight. The bolt screws in from the center of the nose into the fender.
