Default Yay new personal MPG record! Post yours...

20MPG for the first half of the tank (200 miles), so far shattering my old record of 310 miles to a full tank

And to keep the "Keep it in the OT" complainers happy, post your personal 944/951 best MPG wise (or personal worst, like when my FPR quit and I was getting a wicked 4-5MPG).

Im not sure if ive been getting good mileage or not. While running stock fuel maps, i got 25mpg once. I averaged about 20-23mpg mixed driving however. With the FRWilk chip ive been averaging about 20mpg at the best, 17-18 mpg most of the time. Whats odd is that if im running the stock fuel maps, and i specifically drive like grandma the entire week...i still dont get much better than 23 mpg.

I am considering having the fuel injectors cleaned and flow tested and possibly changing the FPR. Not sure what else could be the problem.

I got mine cleaned a while back, I noticed a difference for the better. This was even after a few bottles of the Motul Cleaner stuff. Cleaned and flowtested they all performed within one or two percent of stock with excellent flow pattern IIRC.

When I delievered my car to the new owner in VA (from GA), I got in the 28.xx mpg range... 100% freeway driving, all on cruise with zero stops (though I was cruising along pretty good, and goosed it every now and again.. ). That was on a stock 86 951 that was packed pretty full (4 spare tires in the back, plus a fair number of spares).

My mom gets about 26, I get about 20. I could be wrong about my car, but I used about 3/8 tank on like 120 miles. ~320 out of a tank isn't great, huh.
What's the total capacity of the early NA tank?

1989 944S2, took a trip to Atlanta the first month I got the car..it was right at 300 miles to Atlanta from Tn, filled up and drove all the way there with right at a half tank of gas left. The way back wasent as good. The trip was to take a friend to purchase a 2003 Mustang Cobra that he had bought off ebay so I was trying to keep up on the way back, never the less it ended up being right around 30MPG.

My best in the 968 is like 16 mpg. My gf says I significantly lower our gas mileage by my spirited driving though. When she drives to/from work, I think she gets more like 18.

lol, I've heard you can get 30mpg in 5th if you keep your foot out of it. You'll have to keep your car in perfect shape if you wanna get that tho.

I got 29.2mpg driving to NY once. That was pure highway and at around 75mph, I believe I had ape chips at the time. Normal highway I get around 26-27mpg. Mixed driving gets around 21mpg. The worst I ever got was 14 (lots of boost was used)! Big range, huh?

In my 968-powered 944, I get about 27mpg highway miles -- averaging 90mph on 5th gear (~4000rpm with my current tranny). I easily do LA<->SF without refuel. Mixed city/highway gets me more in the ~22mpg range. On the 951, I get only about 15mph in typical LA traffic.

I think it's around 20, that means I have close to a 600 mile range! That's kind of overkill imho, I need to pee way before then!
