Dan, Winslow's car HAS to get a shot at the dyno. Andy should be twin turbo'd by then also.

If we have a clear stretch of road, I'll bring the G-Tech for hp measurements. It's pretty accurate.

What the.. I leave the boards for 8 hours and this thread starts and becomes a MONSTER.

Thanks in advance Dan P you are a true champion of this breed. You are a god. I had worries about 944fest05, as usual you pull off something even better than expected or anticipated.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy!!! Let the countdown begin. 25 weeks!!

Nice Dan, I will be in for sure. I live in Akron, so if anyone wants to drive there together, do a drive there, let me know. I would like to go on the dyno, but I will not even ASK considering all the other awesome cars on here. Would love to see a 2.8 944 Turbo taking a run at it as well, like Rage....

I am SOOOO there, dudes! My wife didn't look too happy, but if she doesn't want to come along, then I will just pack an extra guitar.

Regards,

no offense taken Dan. i just reread it that the dyno will be there only one day, and you are absolutly right, i am but a mere guest in your house crashing your party that im not 'officially' invited to. its 944 fest not 912 fest.. and i would only take the nine dozen on the dyno if everyone else had a chance. if only 14 or 16 cars will get a shot at it (as you predict), those should go to the guys who really have the beasts to run them (andy, hp farm, and the like..). if all else fails, im happy to be the freak show of the fest.

btw.. i would call excellence or 911 and porsche world, tell them whats going on and that you would like to invite them. how do you think the 912 rendezvous got a write up 2 years ago?

9magazine showed interest last year and had said they would print a story, unfortunately didnt like the submittal.(They wanted to edit it) 9mag also donated 50 copies but unfortunately arrived at my place a day too late. Maybe it was an "off" year for the publication.

I think an "Official" invite is well within order. He's a waterhead as well.

i really wouldnt invite 9 magazine. honestly, its not worth your time. if you want recognition, you need a real magazine to do the story. if 9 did it, no one would get the issue, and it would look like an amature did it. i wouldnt wipe my *** with a copy of 9. just mho.

if you want this fest taken seriosuly and getting the notopriety it deserves as being a class act festival (which it is!) then only a class act organization should put it in print.

Dan, if you want i can try to find out who our contact was with excellence.

Anyone know what the camping costs there? Or is it free? And whats the "average" cost for gas in the Northern part of the US? For Premium, 93 octane or whatever it is.
If you don't go Brian, maybe we could try to organize our own 944FrontEngineFest a little sooner...we had quite a few cars for only like a month's notice!!!
We had people from BC, Alberta, Washington, and even Alaska...who knows how many more people we could get if we organized something sooner! I should talk to Travis...
There are plenty of westcoasters who want to make it to 944Fest but can't cuz it's a bit too far...
