Dude, don't tempt me.
I was just in a major accident in my SAAB, and my 924S is the only car I have right now.
I should be shopping for another winter car, not putting a 951 motor in my 924S!!
P.S. Derek, I don't live but an hour from you....

Thanks master tifo, I figured Breaks, torque tube, and trannie.
Plus if I remember correctly the conversion requires the motor and much custom mounting,
the DME, and all the gauges ported over. I remember about 5-6 years ago when I asked about
this, I has lots of people simply say Impossible.
Nothings impossible, but right now I just need a good winter car. I'm still shaken up about my
accident, and worried that some 'tard is going to take out the 924S next.
(speaking of which, I need to update my sig file.

Yoda, err, Tifo has a good point too
You don't _need_ to swap the instruments over, I think.
Is the 924S's speedometer driven from the transmission, or the left-front wheel?
You would have to install an aftermarket boost gauge though, and your mileage gauge (if you have it) wouldn't work.
I think it would all pretty much bolt into the 924S, but you would need to transfer a lot of parts. Sounds like he would be able to help you get everything you would need to do it.

The 924S speedo is driven from the drivers side spindle. Swapping transmissions won't affect your speedo or odo. You would want an aftermarket boost gauge, but they are more accurate than the crap factory 951 gauge anyway.
You should be able to use the same torque tube that is in 924S. No need for a new one.
You would lose your odo/speedo if you switch to MY86 951 spindles and brakes, unless you drill and tap the 951 spindle.
Now, I'm going to go against conventional wisdom that is often professed on this BBS with the following statement: You don't NEED to swap in the 951 brakes if you swap the 951 motor into the 924S. Especially if you leave the motor stock at the 220hp rating. I say this because the 924CGT's had almost the same HP and performance, having basically the same calipers as the 944 N/A and 924S cars. The 924S with the 951 motor and trans is still going to be a lighter car than a 951. Would bigger brakes be nice? Well, yes, but really not on the list of necessities right away, especially if working on a budget and adding in pieces as time/money allows.
One thing you will also need to consider is the placement of the intercooler in the 924S.
