Which Muffler to get?
I am looking at a muffler to put on an extra pipe I have, as a winter project to see what it sounds like. anyone tried any of these?
Dynomax turbo thrush ( $20 or so)
Edelbrock RPM Muffler ( around $100)
Summit racing (various mufflers)
Also, do i need to weld it on, or can i just clamp it?
What size inlet do I need for the stock pipe size?

I beleive stock is 2.5 or 2.25 inches.
I use a Magnaflow muffler on my car, it's loud, but sounds good, until ya get in the range of 4000 to 5000 RPM, then it's kinda raspy.

I prefer it over EVERY muffler I've heard on a 944.

I've heard that one before, The SFR is beautiful, but in my personal opinion overkill on the NA, I mean I don't want a bigger pipe, that will just rob performance, I just want a deeper sound.
I was also thinking about a little WOOOO WOOOO!

If you were to hang on just a few weeks, PowerWerks is comming up with some new interesting products for our cars (including exhaust parts).

When I buy a muffler, is the advertised inlet the inside diameter or outside diameter? Do I want a muffler to fit inside of the pipe or outside of the pipe?
Thinking about getting a cheaper muffler, not sure if I'll like it, may want to go back to stock.
