Default Cheapy tires?

Anyone know what tire company sells some cheap, cheap tires? 205/55/16 if you have a set by chance. Were drivin up to tahoe, and the Azeni's on the impreza just wont do in the snow. so we'll slap on some cheapies on a spare set of wheels.

DONT GET CHEAP TIRES. It's the only thing that keeps you stuck to the road.

Look for a good value on a great tire.

Cheap, 55 series winter tires are going to be pretty tough to come by. If you could scrounge up some 15" wheels you could go with Firestone Winterfire tires in 195/60-15.

Hakkapeliitta Q's come in 16", but they will be more expensive.

Of course, there's alway Blizzaks, but I'm guessing they are out of your price range. Maybe Matt H can chime in with some other ideas.

Hope youre not going this week. I went snowboarding at boreal by I-80 east (about 1.25 hours from my house) and it took me 4 hours!!! Roads are icey and traffic is horrendous.

Good luck.

normally i would agree with you on this, but were mostly just looking for something cheap to drive up, drive there, and drive down... 1000 miles. I know there are some economy brands out there for 30 bucks a pop (no pun intended) plus the AWD is nifty.

You'll need chains also. If you don't have some, I have two spare sets downstairs; I'll have to check & make sure they'll fit those tire sizes though.

BFG Traction TAs are cheap and they give pretty wet road performance

thanks for the advice guys, I think we just may take the camary. It has goodyear Assurance comforts freshly mounted on it. The impreza would have just been funner, albeit the suspension wouldn't have been pleasent for the 8 hour drive.
