The car won a concours event in 1980? Who cares? Hell, my car was in flawless condition in 1987 and much of 1988. My 1970 Pontiac was mint in 1970. It's probably a washing machine now.

Sorry to digress............
That Carrera GTS that they are selling is yummy. Only 37 miles? Seems a shame to have a car like that and never drive it in anger. I didn't think any of those ever made it into the US legally.......
Love the inner door panels. I don't see an intercooler in the engine bay in the same location that the Carrera GT cars have it though (under the hood bonnet scoop). I assume it is located behind the front bumper/nose on the GTS cars then?

The add claims that it is the only factory built rally car from Porsche, which is wrong, and this car does not look at all like a rally car. The roll cage does not look lika a factory cage. And why the collapsable spare wheel?

Why is winning the Manhattan Trophy 25 years ago a big deal? Apparently if you are into concours (personally I'd rather drive a Porsche on the track than take it to a beauty contest), the Manahattan Trophy is sort of like the Holy Grail of concours events.
The Martini car is for someone who wants a concours car that could probably still win at the Parade or some other big concours event. My in-laws are into concours and have told me stories of some of the cars that show up at the Porsche Parade (shrink wrapped in enclosed trailers is one example).
For 20K this would be far less than what some people spend on a concour car.
Someone explain this one to me. The auction says only 16 were made. When I was in 4th grade, one of my friend's mom's had a 924 that looked like this and had "Sebring 79" on the rear (it looked just like this car and had the same funky interior).

Seller much be smoking crack. Even if they were the rarest car ever produced value can be attributed to desirability. At the end of the day, who wants a 25 year old Porsche that hasnt had service in 24 years (if ever)? Hell, I dont think they were that desirable from the beginning.

It's actually a little bit more rare, I believe, than a standard GTS; if I'm not mistaken, it's a GTS Club Sport (with alloy cage, etc). He's just fishing on the price, of course.
