There's no such thing as a cheap Porsche
There's no such thing as a cheap Porsche. There - I said it, so it's out of the way. It's Sunday night, so I'm cruising eBay. There's a S2 cab near me, hit in the front.
eBay auction I have a parts car which I could source the hood and headlight mechanism. So I'd need a windshield, fenders, header panel and bumper cover. Looks like maybe one lens.
I should also assume it is time for belts, water pump, pad for the cam chain.
Does anyone know if an S2 takes the same radiator as an NA?
Given all that, and that they are asking $3995 on their web site so it will hopefully go for less, do you think it's worth it?

I'm even closer and thought to put the whole fornt end from my '87 N/A on it. Heck, only youse guys would know the chin was incorrect.
With that much damage, it's hard to say what it's worth. A real gamble. If the frame is bent, then it should just be parted itself.

That car looks awfully beat to me. Filthy engine bay, crappy floor mats, cracked dash at the corner of the airbag and above the AC vents, oxidized wheels, yellowed stone guards, etc. And that's just what you can see in the small, grainy pictures. I couldn't tell for sure from the pictures whether the vacuum diagram sticker is on the passenger's wheel well, but it looks like it's missing to me, so you might guess that this car has been wrecked in the front before, as well. I think that you'd be into it for a mountain of dough and tons of time by the time you dealt with basic cosmetics (i.e., fixing the front, other minor stuff) and dealing with the deferred maintenance. Even if the car is basically sound, the odds are not strong that a car showing that kind of cosmetic neglect has good engine mounts, a good steering rack, working AC, good clutch, good CVs, etc., etc., etc. I'm not saying it would all be bad, but I bet that there's plenty lurking in there that's not worth dealing with.

Yes, I know, it looks like a mutt, but I just can't resist some strays.

The salvage title was issued on 9/30/2004. Insurance said it was a Total Loss Accident, other than that, nothing else mentioned on the carfax, the miles were only reported once, back in 90 at 48 miles. Hope I was helpful, anything else you need, feel free to PM me again.
