Looks like adventurine to me according to Paintscratch.com. Could it be Ocean Jade?
Do you know what year the 993 is?
If you like that color have you looked at pics of Ian's 965? It's very similar.

AHH this is driving me crazy.... no one on the 993 board can figure out what it is either... I've gotten adventurine green, oak green, rainforest green, and slate gray... I really like that color and wish I could figure it out.

It is NOT Ocean Jade. It does appear to be Aventurine.
Here is a tip for you. There is an 800 number to Porsche Customer Care. Call them on Monday, give them the VIN, they can read the option codes, including interior and exterior color codes. They are generally helpful and friendly.
BTW, the price is what I would consider very high for that one, esp. considering the Tip.

alright thanks matt... i was just browsing autotrader today... I want to eventually get a 993 or 964 but I also thought that one was way too expensive for what it is. I deifnately like color a lot.

Wombat, I have passed recently on much newer 996 bodied cars with less than 30K for less money that they are asking, FWIW. One was a triple Black, vert, with 25K on it and he was asking about 2K more, though I could have gotten it for less.

wow that's incredible i didn't realize the value of the 996 bodied cars had depreciated that much. Personally, I like the 993 and 964 bodied cars much better than the 996. I think Porsche got away from their roots when they made the 996. I'm still in college right now and I want to get a tow vehicle when I get out then we'll see whether I buy a 944 track car before a 993 or vice versa. I'm just happy to be in a Porsche right now!! lol... Thanks for your help Matt...

Wombat, that should say less than 30K miles. The 996 isnt as pretty to look at but it has the newer interior and is a REALLY nice driver. One thing that held me back is the fact that it has a water pump.
