Hello All,

Just checking in for questions.

Looks like some folks are concerned about forward seat travel with power seats. Brey Krause makes an extension bracket that extendes forward seat travel by 2.5". Please see this link: http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/r2016.php for a picture of the R-2010 extension for the R-2016 extinguisher mount for power seats. I will see what i can do on pricing for those that need this piece. Please check back tomorow for pricing.

I have also seen that some may want only to purchase the fire extinguisher. I will be happy to accomodate those needs as well as those who want only to purchase the mount.

If anyone has any questions at all, please feel free to e-mail or call me.

Don't know if anybody has mentioned this before. But I think it might be a little risky to have the extinguisher mounted and in plain view inside the car... After all, its worth $150 dollars, and the chrome ones are bling blingin right in plain view for anyone passing by. I dunno, it seems a little risky because of theives nowadays. Just something to think about.

One thing of interest, I was hanging out at a friend's place yesterday, who also happens to own a factory 951 cup car, and the fire extinguisher from the factory (a rather large 5lb (?) unit) is mounted behind the passenger seat. I looked at some of the other cup car literature and all of the other photos I saw had it mounted back there.

I sat in my car afterwards and figured out it would take just about the same amount of effort to get a bottle from behind the seat as in front. I think mine is going to be mounted behind the passenger seat ala the cup cars.

Not to mention, IMO it looks kinda cheesy sitting in the middle of the passenger area... I'm pretty sure nobody ever makes use of those rear seats, except maybe to give your little sister a ride in em... heh

Not sure if this was asked yet, but can the BK mount be installed to mount the fire extinguisher behind the passenger seat? Still interested nonetheless, but just wanted to throw that question out there.

I don't think so.
The average street rat thief will want to steal something that is easy to sell and get cash quickly and easily. A fire extinguisher isn't that hot a commidity. A nice stereo attracts more attention.

Hello All,

Sorry about not posting back earlier, had some things come up on monday and tuesday i was not expecting.

For those of you that need the R2010 extension, I will be able to sell those for $9.00 if you purchase the R2016 extinguisher mount as well.

Some of you had questions about weather the mount could be used in the rear passenger area rather than the front, unfortunately the mount is designed only to mounted in front of the front seat.

For those concerned about theft, I would reccomend putting the extinguisher in the cargo area of the car, and NOT getting chome, if the vehicle is parked in a high risk area.

I think I was able to respond to all the questions, if I missed anything please feel free to call or e-mail me.

Max,

The Fireade extinguishers look to have alot of great benefits, I especially respect the environmental benefits of their products. My main concern would be capacity(16 oz).

Tom
