If you had enough HP you wouldn't have to do a "clutch drop".

Just buy some 15 inch phone dials, then go get the cheapest tires money can buy. Let them sit out in the sun all summer, put them on in fall, burnouts are easy as hell, don't cause any excess wear. If you are really dedicated, pour some bleach on the road infront of and around the rear tires.

I have always been told even when I auto-x to just let out my clutch and then do my business (floor it). Am I wrong, my Fiance always said it is not worth replacing a clutch in the Porsche for a few giggles. Isn't it pain in the BUM to replace a 944 clutch? Also, for you guys who are wondering, it doesn't impress us girls when you leave rubber! It seems like you compensating for something.

OUCH!!!!!
there were no girls present....I hope that saves my dignity. sheesh!

(at auto-x I always try to pop the clutch at a low rpm as to not spin the tires to much but still get a good launch.)

haha, isn't that basically the same just that the burnouts didn't require any forward motion? We'll I guess we're talking about clutches here

yea dude, whenever I feel your spiritual presence, or smell burning - whether it be tires, clutches, garages, etc. I'm sure to throw up an away message
