Exclamation Can't find leak point!

When i backed up my cartoday there was a huge puddle of yet to be identified fluid!! IT has no odor, it has the consistency of honey and was near the driver side front tire. I mean this stuff is thick. So far i've determined it is not motor oil, trans fluid, brake fluid or coolant. Power steering maybe? The only thin is i can't for the life of me find the power steering fluid resevoir. Any ideas?

Power steering fluid resevoir is on the passenger side near the front, beside the distributor cap...doesn't sound to be it....did it look like a milkshake?

nobody put honey under the car. It had no odor to it though. That is what has me really puzzled. I thought maybe it cam from my stryt, but there was nothing on the tire or rim.

could it have possibly come from the oil pan? If so, what color was it? If it looked like a chocolate milkshake....it might mean your oil and coolant are mixing...which isn't good...anyway you could describe it a little better?

It's possible that it is power steering fluid. There is a line from the PS pump to the rack that attaches on the driver's side of the rack via a banjo bolt. It could be as simple as tightening this bolt. OTOH, PS fluid is not typically the thickness of honey. Nevertheless, there's no substitute for just crawling under there and sourcing the leak.

No it wasn't the color of oil and coolant leaking, that happened to my camaro before and i remember that. Lets see, it was very thick, had a light green-yellow color to it. No smell at all, which is the big stumper for me. again on the driver front side. Just behind that tire actually. I'm gonna check in the morning for anymore.

Strange. Doesn't sound like any auto fluid I can think of (except for the green part - coolant. But you said its thick, so that kinda rules coolant out like you mentioned.) Slimer from the Ghostbusters maybe? I bet you could find some really nice ghost busting equipment on eBay

That might just be one of the funniest ebay ads i've ever seen. So this morning there wasn't anymore of this mysterious fluid. They car rides just the same too. Something is gonna break soon enough and then i'll know what was leaking.
