Default How often do you change your oil??

I changed my oil this weekend, at 3000 miles, and I was just curious how often you guys change yours. One of my friends says his dad changes the oil in his 944 every 10000-12000.

I change my every 2500-3000 miles...don't wanna go over, despite the fact that Mobil 1 supposedly can. I'll also change it every 2.5-3 months if I don't make the mileage, but that's not happened yet.

Every 7500 miles, or about once a year, with Mobil 1.

Every 3000 miles you change the fuel filter? Where do you buy your gas?

That's a little over the top I'd have to say.

2500-3000 miles on Castrol 20W-50. If I have nothing else to do, I change the tranny oil at the same time as well. (I get it for free at work)

Once a year. Maybe 3-5k miles. Garage queen (that has an auto-x addiction). Mobil 1.

Actually, even my daily drivers get Mobil 1 just once a year. Maybe 10-11k/year max.

I change my oil every 1000 miles or so. As soon as it starts looking slightly brown. I have gotten the inside of my engine cleaner by having done this for about 1.5 years now. I can actually feel a difference in how smoothly and easily it revs up under both load and no load. I also use K&N oil filters since it has the nut on the top which makes it very easy to take off and on, I change the oil filter about every third oil change. Also, when my oil cooler started leaking, after changing the o-rings, etc., I changed the oil about 5 times, as well as flushing the cooling system about 5 times. Transaxle about every 4000 miles. Brake fluid, high temp, at least once a year, got quick bleed nipples. Coolant at least once a year after winter when it starts getting hot. Water wetter helps, it really does. Power steering fluid about every 6 months. Maybe less now that I put in a new steering rack. It seems to be staying cleaner. Wheel bearing repack about once in two years. Air conditioner recharge, about every two years since I replaced a leaking evaporator. Bits in the DME, about once in the time I owned it, (upgraded chip)... Air in tires, once per flat.

lol, Harry, you need a '44 man! No more adjusting valves (good LORD! every 3k miles??), no need to check the plugs so often, blah blah blah.

3000 miles/3 months for me. Mobil 1 15W50 in the summertime, I think I'll go with 10W30 for the wintertime (next change).
