p.s. My 924 is a bit faster then a 944. Slightly faster then most 911 Turbo's too :-D

LS1 V8 engine ... yeah, I know... bastardized this car for those purists... I have owned the car for almost 15 years and wanted reliability. I got it with the V8... and obnoxiously fast as a side effect ;-)

ohh the body details:

AIR front end, IFC rear end body kit. Side skirts highly modified by http://www.intheworksautobody.com who in my opinion did thee best job anyone could have done! They actually did the entire body work on that car!

The driveline was done by http://www.hitechmotorsport.com/ who are known nationally for their outstanding products and performance services.

A GM LS1 in a 924?

That had to be expensive. Was it the 924S or the early 2.0L?

DT had to be an expensive swap.

You got it. Out of a 2000 Vette.

It had the 2.0 liter originally.

Not one thing about this was cheap. But the fun factor is beyond awesome!

Open that hood and snap some pictures! That 924 looks better than most 944s on here. Nice!

Under the hood is dirty. I need to clean it up... I will share pics but the engine bay needs clean up... That'll come this winter...

it looks great, but the license plate looks odd not being between the taillights.

applebit,

could i make one sirgesstion. i would cut the front bumper back 2 fit the chin spoiler. quite easy 2 do mine fitted like this till i done it. i also shaped the end of it 2 a more rounded shape.

will be posting some pics of mine next week

I love my 84 80000 mi and everything gone thru! 911 wheels and a few goodies. Any body got any performance parts or suggestions? or should I sell it and just upgrade?

Here is mine:
86 951. 38K miles. Sunroof Delete. LSD. Sport Seats (with heat - but do not work). Awesome condition.
Recent work includes TB, Vitesse 26/6, 3Bar, Accuboost, SS Brake Lines, LR Fuel Lines, Motor Mounts. Purchased 17" CCW Classic Wheels (9, 10) but going to put the 16" Fuchs back on (the CCW's are for sale)
