Bridgestone seem to be larger tires compared to other manufacturers. My bridgestone 225 was about an inch wider than my pirelli 225. They look damn cool too.

I am running potenza RE92's right now that are 225/60/15. I am pretty sure on the so-3's cuz i went to tirerack and they just seemed like the best. i thought my potenza's held the road too i and i saw their rating was not muhc better than mediocre so i am excited about the so-3's. back to my question... iloveporsches, you said to run 225/50/15's; what is the difference between thattire size and my 225/60/15's?

I had 225/60/15 yokos and they look way too fat. going back to oem spec and do more suspension work.

is it just cosmetic as far as the difference or will there a performance difference as well?

there is some performance gain, but it's only because the width is slightly bigger, but then so is the height. so it looks like you are riding on balloons. go for it, just be better to use a wider wheel in the first place. custom would be nice...

Firestone SZ50's. For 15's I'd go with the Potenza G009. Much better than re92's. If you go to a 16 inch wheel the Fuzion ZR-i is the way to go. Totally unbiased tire salesman.

Money no object 225/50R15 S-03.

In the 225/60R15 the tire is very tall. Car rides better but looks like *** and handles worse. With the 225/50R15 you will actuall gain a very minute amount of acceleration by virtue of the gearing change. Pretty common for racers.

In the stock 215/60R15 there is not much worth writing home about.
