Anyone can recommend a mechanic who is familiar with working with turbos and primarily in the North Jersey area? Thanks.

Hi, i would reccomend the Mewchanics at Paul Miller Porsche in Parsippany NJ on Rt. 46 west building #250. THere Phone # is 973-227-3000
I have been using them for all of the work on my 88 944 and my family uses them for work on our 86 911, 86 911 turbo, boxter, and 996 TT. My Dad's friend also used them on his 951 (944 Turbo) which had alot of mechanical problems but was put into great running order after being worked on there.
I have found that they are very knollagable with these cars and have talked with there 2 more experianced mechanics (Bobby and Marty) about alot of work i have done myself on my car.
One other palce I would reccomend in north Jersey would be PowerTeck. they are lokated in Rockaway NJ also off Rt. 46 there phone # is 973-586-3210. They have given me some good advise on stuff i ahve done but have not actually used them to service my car.

you can try Wagon Works in Englewood....I don't have the number handy but it's listed.....owner is Jay Milard....this shop ( and Jay's late father) worked on my dad's 1st P-car in the early 60's....so they've been around a long time......and Jay still works on dad's 944 and 356 as well as my 944.
Now he does P-cars, Audi's, VW's and BMW's ....he's super honest and fair priced...
good luck

I live in wayen right near oakland and havent heard of that shop. I used ROCS in belleville for my front service (T belt, pump, rollers etc..). They were fair to me, and i cant say anything negative about them. The owner guy has a 91 S2 himself..
What kind of service are u looking for?
P.S we should meet up sometime since ur local, my car the red 944 turbo has been in the autobody since 4th of july. It should be ready finally now tho.

Although he's never worked on my car....Ritchie from ROCS is a super nice guy...I have bought parts from him, he is a PCA member and I saw him the year before last at Hershey ( he had a booth)...If wagon works closed, my next stop would be ROCS.

For a list of shops that support NNJR PCA (and ones that I would recommend) Click HERE (Hopefully the link works if your aren't registered on the NNJR-PCA site)
