Thats a man with priorities... If my video card was better I'd play- the images are waay to choppy on win2000. Maybe time to build the ME box into my PC.. I'll be working on it.
But I'll be steering by keyboard - maybe I could be put in the "no steering wheel" class. The wheel/ pedals is such an advantage.

gtr2002 is my vote for most realistic sim. the new gtr press demo sucks, though . . . . .
actually, the papyrus nascar sims might be more realistic, now that i think of it. too bad it's a NASCAR sim!! the EA formula 1 games are REALLY good, too.
i still play NFS:PU more than any other racing game, though . . . .
great, great game.

I keep it around just to play NFS PU and Golden Tee Golf. (I have all the expansion courses and hacks for GTG if anyone is interested!)
I have removed all of the garbage that MS thought the "average home user" needed. I prefer Win98 ver2- service packed to the bejeesus it's as slow as it gets, I have a HD loaded with all the drivers for my server right now. Hdd and cable swap. no brainer.
I have always had a video driver issue with XP and Win2KServer with NFS PU- It's my oddball video card- wont do 3d rendering well at all. it's like frame, wait a second, frame, wait a second.. You get the idea.

I had video problems getting NFS to run on Win2k. Then I somehow managed to create my own no-CD crack and fix the problem. I have no recollection of how I did this, but I just tried a bunch of random suggestions and somehow that was the end result.
EA should make a new one in a couple of years after whatever the next model line will be is released. There's a few 996 cars to add, the Carrera GT, the Cayenne, and tons of racers and even some production cars they missed before. Even if they did a similar game on Ferrari, it would kick ***.

It's a shame that EA doesn't support this game anymore. I'd love to have a 2004 GT3, a Carrera GT, and a 968. Some new tracks wouldn't hurt either. Nurburgring would be cool.
Does anyone know how to keep the 951 from bouncing the rev limiter?
