Need For Speed : Porsche Unleashed.

Sure the graphics are sub-par compared to UT or Doom3 now but still the best racing game I've ever played, I might be a bit biased on that considering the content :P Anyone else played? I have a few back-up copies online if ppl have lost theirs!

 

A while back, we used to always do online games...not so much anymore.

 

I am going to have to say my two favorites are Gran Turismo 3 on PS2 and Grand Prix Legends for PC. Porsche Unleashed was very good though!

 

I played it alot a while back; never online though. I don't have a clue where my copy is right now....will it work on Windows XP?

That was the only game on my computer for a while. Or it was that and that ultra ultra realistic racing game, "Racer" I think. Or was it "Life for Speed"? One of the two.

Then my buddy wanted his steering wheel and pedal controller set back. Then I became a sad panda.

 

Absolutely! 4 1/2 years and counting, Porsche Unleashed is still my favorite PC game. I went through a spell for about a year where I played Civilization III quite a bit, but if I could have just one on my hard drive, it would be Porsche Unleashed. Granted, I only play it about twice a year, but each time I do, it is like visiting with an old friend. Truly outstanding for year 2000 technology, and you couldn't ask for a better group of cars for the game! For truly, there is no substitute for Porsche, even in a video game!

 

I still love that game. We need to do some online racing soon. Maybe this weekend?

Moby Dick rocks the club race circuit.

 

I've been playing the game for years and still love it. Everytime I start it over it's like a new game. Last time I played it I made it up to the mid 90's making first place in every race and not damaging the car at all.

 

So, is anyone up for a serious schooling???

 

Hey .... it works on XP ? I tried installing it on my XP machine a while back but could not get it to work.!

I think I am going to dig that copy out again.... and check it out....

 

Live for speed and Grand T. 3...prolly the most realistic out there.

 

it worked on my xp pro no problem.. although the #'s for my cashola are messed.. runnin too high of a res with a vid card it doesn't recognize... who needs to know how much they have anyhow I'm a lil stuck on the 914 racing right now.. was a breeze til I got to these lil things
