Hi to all
I have a quick question? How may of you wave when you see another Porsche? It seems around Ohio not to many people wave. I get so excited when people wave and when they don't I can't understand why they don't. Thanks to all of you who do wave of flash their lights

Here in So Cal there are so many Boxters and such and quite allot of 944 types etc...
I try to wave and flip lights all the time..
It seems that many other drivers give a look of " what the hell was that for "
Around here, you can't throw a brick without hitting a boxter.

Since right now my car looks a little "rough" and since the general area in which I live is full of late model P-cars ....most of which are driven by wealthy people on their way to "the club"........I don't bother.

I wave at other 944's, but i wait to see a wave before i acknowledge a 911 or boxster or other porsche, as i would usually wave to them and get funny looks.

I wave at all 944's, but don't even give the back-motored attitude dudes a look. And I've only seen one Boxster driven by a male. All others by trophy wives. The 911-993-996'ers will not give you so much as a hi!-howyadoin' look when you pull up to them at a light, or on the interstate. And after I teach them a lesson in advanced acceleration, then just stare at their navels!

I wave like its my job! I do tend to avoid waving at those spicey pepper-mobiles. Most of the soccer moms around here would prolly think i was hitting on them...![bigbye](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/xyxwave.gif)

Hi all:
To Porsches, I bow out of respect, but I'm working on the wave. When I'm in my friend's MINI, I feel obligated to wave spastically.
When I was in my Hyundai Accent rental, my enthusiasm at trying to find other owners with the same car evaporated. I cannot imagine why. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Take care and happy driving!

I've only waved once.. well because in NW Ohio... thats the only other P-car i've seen. A 993, light blue. I waved, he waved and proceeded to check out my car as we passed. Next time i see him and i'm in the p-car i plan on stopping and having a chit-chat. Following up with the "Nice Porsche" rennlist cards I carry in my wallet

If the other owner is looking in my direction I'll either flip the lights or grin and wave... most other owners wouldn't give me the time of day though. In McLean (where I'm staying for the summer) there are so many rich people who drive them and don't even know what they are. I see a minimum of a half-dozen Boxsters, 2 914's (local 914 nut I presume, one house has a couple there), 2 911's, a 944 and a couple Cayennes on my way to work each morning (20-25min drive). I've seen over a dozen Boxsters on one way there and even see occassional shark or 951.
When I'm in Front Royal, I rarely see any, but when I do, I make it a point to flash or wave as soon as they're in sight. The only return "Porsche flash" I got was on Skyline Drive on a relaxing Father's Day drive. I came up to a 928 on a twisty section and grabbed the light **** as fast as possible, he returned within a second (obviously scrambling for his lights as well).

This reminds meof something at work...guy pulls up in a beautiful 993 cabrio through my work's drive thru. I say "gotta love the sound of a flat-6" and the guy replies with "huh?" Because of his ignorance, i say "too bad my 18 year old 944 will outhandle you any day." That was fun :-p
I usually wave..
