UPDATE:, just closed the deal on an 88 S motor rebuilt w/ 50K miles on, slightly overbored cylinders w/ matching pistons,including an upgraded MAF. I'll recieve it at the beginning of next week and be back on the road a week thereafter. Lookin forward to a whole new car!

There are a lot of differences between the NA and S motor. I hope you got the harness, DME, flywheel, bellhousing, exhaust manifold, ignition module, and air box with it. Also I don't believe the S ever had an auto trans. I hope it works ok.

I am well aware of the extra work involved to make this swap, I am recieving most all those parts mentioned. The tricky part will be the actual flywheel, damper disc relationship, my mechanic and i may have to do a little custom fabrication in that area. My tranny has held up very well since i've had the car, every fluid change shows virtually no signs of metal shavings or particles. Whether it'll hold up on the extra power or not, I guess i'll have to be the guinea pig on this one.
