I want everyones thoughts
Should I keep my 924 or Sell it ?????
Its a 1978 Porsche 924. Like I said before it dosent run it has fuel injection problems. Its Guards Red and has 150k. The left front quarter panel is dented and when it did run it shifts funny from 3rd to 4th gear. Its been sitting since I got my 944 in April and I want to get my mind off my problems ( A girl I really like ditched me today to go back to her ex) Enough with my personal problems though. So that why I want to concentrate back on my 924. So should I keep it or Sell it ?????

if you got some cash, and otherwise the car is sound.. why not?! good project! If you are looking for best thing for your money.. either fixing and selling, or just plain selling, or maybe parting would be the best option.

I say sell it. Or keep it.
Or maybe give it to your ex-girlfriends new man so that he can devote countless hours to it in the garage so she forgets who he is and dumps him. Or maybe she likes that kind of thing.
Hard to say really.
Hope that helps and wasn't too technical.........

with attitudes like that eyal, the 924 wont be. it took a while, but finally the 912 has become a classic and closed minded views of our cars are deminishing. the 924 will be a classic, and so will the 944. it will take a while.. about 10 or more years or so... but eventually it will gain notoriety and respect.

hey, your not accusing me of not respecting the 924 as a porsche are you? cause i do respect the car, a lot. and of course i owe my gratitude to the 924, for the creation of my car. europe is different i geuss, but here, the 924 (non S) is not very highly looked upon.

Tifo, that was a pretty good John Kerry impression!
I'd love to buy it from you and start my 924 Carrera GT replica project but that's still a few years down the road.

Not at all I'm just saying that if I had a 1978 924 I would keep it, I rather restore 924 than some musle car. That's all

Keep it and make it concours level. It will be worth money in the coming years.
Illustration in point..The 912's lost favor and were thrashed or converted to 911's- but not a good, solid, running 912 is appreciating to beyond actual purchase price.
I believe a 924 will do the same for the same reasons- as long as it's rust free.

i know of an immaculate perfect 77 or 78 924.. only 28,000 miles. i mean PERFECT. cars in that kinda shape will fetch the dough. if you respect the car, and dont bastardise it, it will hold value.
the key is showing it respect and keeping it original condition.. thats the only way they will hold value.
and chris is right.. perfetct concourse 912 will fetch more than 25k.
a great condition 912 will go more than 10.. excellent will fetch 15+
a good will be about 7 or 8. project 3-5.
i got mine for less than 5 back in 97.. its worth much more than that now.
