Carnuba wax
I'm attempting to make my 944 look nicer, and bought a few products for cleaning/polishing/waxing the body.
Among others, I bough Mother's Carnuba wax. But it's solid (like a bar of soap), not fluid, and I'm not sure if I can use it with a random-orbit electrical polisher? Can I?

Yeah that yellow carnuba wax is pretty hard. Make sure that that is the last ( outside ) coat. I like to also apply some sort of polish with plenty of oils in it. This soaks up into the paint. Then I apply a blue ( soft ) wax, then the Yellow Carnuba.
I'm sure that you can just put the chunk anainst the orbital spinning very slow to transfer the wax.
I only use orbit polishers for compounding. Nothing beats a hand waxed job. It's very easy to get it too hot and wear the wax right off.

A hand waxed job? Sorry I couldn't resist.
As far as using a solid carnauba with a polisher, it can be done as a little heat from friction will allow it to spread pretty easily. Why not just use the foam applicator?

I thought you were only supposed to use the polisher to polish the car to remove swirl marks. Then apply a wax.
Meguiars Gold Class Liquid is good.
Anyone ever use Klasse products?

I use the liquid Mother's Carnuba in the red bottle. It's all I use on my car and I consistently get remarks like "that's the shiniest guards red I've ever seen". Granted it helps that my car's paint is original and in great shape to begin with!

Guys, I didn't have much time lately, but did a few surfaces (mostly the roof). It was completely dull, now it's shiny! It looks great.
I used TurtleWax polishing compound first, Meguiar's color enhancement, and finally Carnuba wax.

Mother's carnuba is awesome! It's a very good quality of wax and should last a long time on your finish. I am a fan of M-Gold Class wax also, its a combination of synthetic polymers and carnuba. It also lasts a hell of a lot longer than Meguiars conventional cleaner-wax.
BTW, a tip for applying the wax taken from the Zymol bottle and actually works too: After waxing the car. Spray cold water on the surface and buff out immediately to set the wax job in. Then, leave the car outside to bake the wax in the sun. Your car will have a more durable shine. Have fun!

Only buy the wax that is just good enough for your paint. Finer wax on suspect paint is not worth it. The paint is the least common denominator. If you have crap paint, buy cheap wax because the better stuff will not be able to do its magic if your car has sore spots everywhere.
I cant wait for Pete to bring over his newly sprayed S2. When we're done with it he is going to pee his pants. If he takes photos you will too.
