15 HP and flared fenders in the rear for the GTS over the GT. The GT is an S4 with hotter cams, a 5sp tranny with LSD or PSD on the later ones, has 330HP. The GTS has moderate cams with 345HP and those nice fender flares in the rear. GTS can come with either 5sp or auto trannies.

The 928 GT (1989-1991) was the same body as the S4 (flag mirrors and no flares) but with 330HP (as opposed to the S4's 320), LSD fitted standard & stiffer suspension, and 7.5" and 9" wide 16" clubsport wheels, standard. It also had a 1" shorter shifter from the S4. (And driver/pax airbags and tyre pressure warnings as standard options!) GT's also have twin exausts as opposed to the S4's single.

The back of the car said 928 S4GT on most of these cars.

The GTS (1992-1995) as we know came with 17" wheels, teardrop mirrors, fender flares, and 345hp. The car also had softer valving on it's shocks! You can tell a GTS from far away by the red strip between the taillights (ala 911 C4S) ... although you can add that to a non-GTS too... Oh yeah.. the car also has 993TT calipers painted in black, iirc.

Thats pretty close.
The '89 GT didn't have airbags, that option came out in '90. It is also note worthy that in '89 there were S4's with both auto and 5sp trannies. In '90 & '91 only the GT's were with 5sp trannies. The GT's didn't have S4 on the rear cover. If you see one with 928S4GT then some one has added the GT to it. Thye both have dual exhaust but the S4 has a single exhaust tip, where the GT has two. The '89 GT has 40%LSD and the '90-'91's have PSD. All GT's and S4's have 5.0 liter V8's, and the GTS's have a 5.4 liter monster. GTS's also came with comfort suspension but an option was available for sport suspension.

85 K in 1993, no wonder they were hard to sell.

I plan on attending. I will be in my 928S4; 928S32 or 911SC, if I can get the bloody thing to start.

Shane, I have so many projects ... we'll see whichever works. This is a FEWC gig so out of respect I may decide to lleave the 911 at home but she would be fun and needs exercise. The S4 always runs though, and pretty reliably powerful

Since Travis is asleep at the wheel, we'll welcome you out! BTW, which car are you bringing out?

Does everyone understand what is happening? where we are going, the correct times etc...? If not I will devise a A-Z on what we are doing.
