Where is it? I went looking and found this, but it looks wrong, and most of those numbers dont come up with otions, or really off ones like 944S Cab. and luxenberg edition. I dont think I have a luxemberg edition 944S cab

You can bet that nut will be lock-tited in a serious way and torqued down pretty well! Heck, I'd tack-weld it on there if it wouldn't disrupt the balancing! Seeing what that nut did to your turbo / engine was enough to make me a believer!
Sorry man, we all learn from each others' pain. I'll bet you check your a/c high pressure hose & sway bar bushings now, huh? Hopefully only another couple of weeks and I'll get those bushings & hose replaced and back to where I was. . .
BTW are you going to just keep it as a spare or are you considering something crazy like a TT setup?

PET syas: color unknown....
Text says: Porsche verkleidung faltrad
Suggests cover for the foldable spare tire.
So: most probably carpet

The 911 was an update: the 356 was too small
The 912 was a mixture: 911 body / 356C engine
Roughly there are only 2 complete original porsche designs: the 928 and this

To my surprise it has actually been exported to USA
Consequently you may consider a sports car with an high content of VW parts to be real Porsche!!!

The option code sticker is near the left side tail light, inside the cargo area, underneath the carpet. The first option you should see is C02 (indicates catalytic converter) and you will see your paint code at the top of the sticker (L041/700 for black).
