Cool! But hopefully your dad realizes all of the accompanying stuff he is going to need to make those puppies work! He's gonna need adapter blocks or M030 spindles, and some rotors.

Let us know if you need any words of advice on putting his S2 brakes on your car. That will be even more work, but it has definetly been done before so the path has been travelled....

Was that 996 pic staged?
The car is sponsored by brake companies and the front tires look like they are very deflated.

Pete, you're probably right, but I have no idea. My guess is they were advertising with the brake bias all the way at the front with low tire pressure or something. Because I mean you gotta have insaaane friction to get a rear engined car to pull a stoppie like that!

The other way of looking at the photo is that the car just launched over a crest and landed on the front wheels......

I second that, i think its impossible to do that with a rear engined car or anycar for that...the front rubber would break loose far before the rear would rise. -chris cool pic though.

Crazy looking pic. Probably not just the brakes doing that though.

looks like it oculd be interesting. its going to be a lot of work and parts to make that fit his car, not to mention the butt-load of crap that you will need to make his fit on yours.

overkill on both accounts.

What brakes are these cup cars running? That is awesome stopping power. When you consider all the weight is up rear in a 911!!

I hope you are kidding!

If not, be prepared to spend some cash on parts. Your Dad, like I mentioned above, will need some M030 or 951S spindles or adapter brackets, and rotors for both front and rear. Not certain on how the rear calipers bolt up, but that could be different as well. I think Ian can chime in there.

As far as your swap goes Campeck, be prepared to spend big money. Only your dad's calipers will be of use to you, the rotors won't work (wrong offset). You will need:

951 or late-model 944 struts
1986 951 front spindles/hubs
all 4 1986 951 brake rotors
all associated bolts and washers
a brake bias valve
16" 951-spec wheels (if you don't already have them)
