I'm up for a retry of the North Bay route - last time we had only two cars. West Marin, Sonoma, or Napa...

Can anyone ever go on a weekday, or does work get in the way? Unlike normal people, i work weekends.

Late June would be great. How 'bout the 26th or 27th ? We could do a Napa County run - a little closer for the Sac guys. I'm open to pretty much any route. More suggestions ?

BUMP

Can we start a list of participants for a North Bay Area (San Fran) run on Sunday, June 27th? If we get more than 5, I'd say it's on.

There's an PCA autocross event at Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa (2 miles from my place) on Saturday the 26th that I plan to do, but I'll cancel if everyone prefers Saturday for the group run... or maybe we can add the autocross to our group run....

Takers and ideas ????

Starting point for the north bay run would be somewhere between Golden Gate Bridge and San Rafael - maybe Sausalito for some good early morning bay photo ops.

My understanding is that the PCA autocrosses are open to non members. $30 entry fee. Check out

http://www.pca-ggr.org/autocross.html

According to Yahoo maps:

Sac to Santa Rosa is 103 miles, 1hr 39 min

Sac to Sausalito is 88.5 miles, 1hr 40 min

How about a run from Marin (Lucas Valley Rd) then Hwy 1 to Ft. Ross or Jenner, over the hill and back to the 101? Those Sonoma Co. backroads can get pretty rough...don't you guys pay your taxes?

2Tight, yup we paid our taxes, but the politicians are using it to buy wine, I think. There are some rough roads, but I know of many really good ones - the general route you've scoped is a good one. I can pre-run the route to pick out a good one.

I remember the run from Ft. Ross to 101 was in good shape last Fall, the over-the-hill run from 101 to Napa Valley was just plain evil, good thing I was in the 83 with taller sidewalls. I'm not sure yet if I'm travelling the week before but will sure try to make it if I can.

hey, the rough roads just make it more interesting! grip? what grip? Especially if you run ES 100's. those tires are not a fan of rough roads at all. Post in 993 and such. You'll probably get more guys to come along.
