Ok, I'm getting logistics info from the contact person for the PCA AX. Based on that we can decide whether it will work or not.

If we don't do the AX and can get 5 or more cars, I'll pull together a route for a North Bay ride on the 26th. Hope to get this sorted out and nailed down by tomorrow night.

If it doesn't work out, we'll postpone.

Ok, the date will be Saturday. I'm still waiting for info on the Autocross - I'll plan a route for Saturday assuming the autocross is not happening. If the autocross works out, we can adjust.

Plans to follow - meeting time will be about 9 am somewhere within 10 miles north of golden gate. Stay tuned... if we don''t get 5 people confirmed, we may decide to postpone.

Looks like the following are on so far:

- Darius Juca
- Serge944
- brad-cam

UPDATE:

I have the info on the Autocross in Santa Rosa on the 26th.

Gates open at 8, need to be there by 9, runs start at 10.
Their insurance requires all participants to be PCA members. They can sign people up at the event. It's $45 and they waive the autocross fee ($30).

So, I'm thinking to pass on the autocross this time. It's a real early start for those coming from far away (i.e. Sacramento), and I'm not sure everyone would want to participate and join PCA.

Looking for feedback... I was thinking we would meet at 9:00 AM in San Rafael so that those of you coming from east bay can take 580 and the Richmond bridge. We go out Lucas Valley Road, Nicasio Reservoir, past the Marin Cheese Factory (stop there for photos), over Marshal Wall to the small town of Marshal on PCH 1, head north through Tomales, Bodega Bay, Jenner. Two choices then - either River Road back to Santa Rosa and Hwy 101, or on to Fort Ross, across to Cazadero and back to Santa Rosa (and home on Hwy 101).

Open to ideas....keep 'em coming. I'll work on the route some more.

Here's a candidate road - it's a little rough at first, but absolutely great for most of the 34 miles from Stewart's Point on the coast over to Lake Sonoma.

Eyal, Skagg's Spring Road is my local favorite. It basically goes nowhere so there's nobody on it. Much too challenging for the tourists so they avoid it. It's very fast !

Eyal...the people who are going to be attending dont plan to hit 150 mph on the run :-p

If i remember correctly, the last run we had with brad, steve, and the rest of the guys was quite relaxed.

Btw, skaggs road looks awesome, i love snaky roads!

Good Job Brad...Skaggs Springs Rd...Sounds like a great route...the San Rafael meeting point works for me and probably all of us from Sacto. It's a shame about the No. Bay Area folks low turnout but you can always count on the "Boost Brothers" from Sac to fill a list. My co-pilot and I look forward to it...any thoughts on a place to stop for lunch? I see our 2-wheeled brethen wrote this route up also...that's a good sign. Do I get points off for bugs I pick up betweeen Sac and the meeting point?
