I just realized that the black leather recaros from the S2 are sitting in the basement; knowing that they are the most comfortable seats on earth, they need to be sat in every night while browsing Rennlist!!! I know someone on Rennlist has done this before but I don't know who! Any pointers on how to make one? I know I'll need to use the stand/wheels off another chair and make some kind of custom frame to mount it on......?!!
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

I built a set of VW corrado seats into an office chair for a friend of mine. If you can weld, great, if not, you should be able to do it as well.
Pretty much, here is what u can do: Take an office chair you already have, and remove the seat, and only the seat. then, take the seat you intend to put on there, and remove the actual seat bracketry from the base. From there, you need to fab your own brackets to actually bolt the base of the office chair you took apart to the seat you want mounted on there. I was lucky and built mine at a metal shop i use to work at one day. i did all the measurements and stuff the night before, and spent about 45 minutes in the shop belding/melding the tubing for the frame. looks cool.
My next project is to turn my own rear seats and front seats from my corrado into a matching living room set.

The newest Mid-America catalog (as in just came today) had the conversion set up for their Corbeau seats at $249. I don't know if Recaros would be a straight drop in or not. But at least that's a price point for you.
