If you substitute the word 'ugly' for the word'bad', then I'd agree with you!

I agree, don't like it much. Not a big fan of the black wheels or the headlights. Oh and I also agree - that guy is short!

Guys, it's a dedcated track car. Race built engine with no balance shafts, gutted interior, full cage, carbon fiber sunroof panel, reworked fully adjustable suspension and so on..

That is a serious piece of machinery, the owner upgraded to it from a track prepped 964C2.

I like it. The headlights are a common conversion for a 968 track/race car. Not unlike what 944's that go to the GTS/R headlights, and still prettier than some other nasty-looking headlight conversion attempts on 944's I have seen here on the BBS.

I'd take that car in a heartbeat. Thanks for the pic Sweanders.

Looks like it was pulled from a vat of black paint! A little too dark for me (hey, I have a white car), but as a track car, I guess it's pretty cool.

Hey, i kinda like it. The headlights arent that bad either. One question-

What does removing the balance shafts do??

It frees up some parasitic drag on the motor and makes it less complicated. Sorta like deleting the power steering.

No ideal for a street only car as it adds a little engine harshness, but for a race car it is OK.

It also saves a bit of weight, always a good thing.

I've been told that if you increase the idle to about 1100 rpm's you won't have very much problems with the extra vibrations.

No need to raise idle, my car (no shafts) is smooth as stock at 900 rpm.

Mean looking 968
