Having trouble with the seller of a 951 in OHIO
#20
I'm new to rennlist but I post on Pelican frequently. I live a couple hours north of Cinci. and my sis and roommate live in Cinci. If people are getting together to talk to this guy I will gladly tag along. The more merrier. Just trying to do my part in the 944 community.

I stockpile several cans of whoopass in my closet. Id love to caravan down with camcorder in tow and see this guy soil himself when the porsche papparazi administer some "gentle" persuasion to cough up the cabbage. Id hate to see a man accidentally run into a Genuine Porsche Tire Iron.

Yes, I'm pissed off too and its 5am. Thanks for the PM Pete. Let's publish this a-hole's address. No info from reverse phone #search.
PM me with the plan. I can be on his doorstep today.
It would be damn funny to have 6 or 8 944's pull up at his house as "gentle reminder and lesson" about how people should treat each other.
donuts on the lawn.. he he he... it's been raining here. j/k.

Gentlemen
Thank you for this outpouring of support and offers of help. I truly appreciate this. When I bought my first Porsche the fellow who sold it to me said. "Now that you own a Porsche you will see, the only group of people that will give a damn about you when you are in trouble on the road are other Porsche owners and they will bend over backwards for you, you will see." Never has that been more apparent than now.
At this juncture I ask anyone who is offering support to do nothing that will get them into any trouble. I am not advocating violence or threats against Mr Leonard. If you speak to him be polite and do not threaten.
This is what I propose. Someone could contact Mr Leonard and set up a meeting under the pretense of looking at his Porsche that he has for sale. Then go to the meeting and as soon as you get there call me. Once he answers the door or you have him face to face hand the phone over so that I can actually talk to him, I would greatly appreciate it. Again I don't want anyone to do anything that would get them in to trouble. He is the bad guy at this point and I want to keep it that way. I do however want my money back. I am by no means a wealthy man. I am enlisted in the US Marine Corps and my base pay is not large so someone taking off with a grand of my money (saved while overseas for the war in IRAQ to buy a 951)is painful to say the least. Again thanks for your help. I will keep trying to contact the man via telephone but I suspect that he is screening his calls at this point. If I do however get through to him and reach a resolution I will post it here as soon as it happens.

Someone PM me with his full name, number, and address. I will call Ted Hunter, President of the OVR PCA. I'm certain this guy is a member, and Ted will have no problem offering a little help in this situation. I'm hoping that it is all just a case of someone being "too busy" to do the right thing, and a simple friendly nudge from someone he knows might get him moving in the right direction.
I would like to see a happy, non-confrontational ending to this situation.
Regards,
Jeremy

IPSC, I agree with you. I hope this guy settles up with you. I left him a message on his cell that was in no way threating, just businesslike. I told him that you were a friend of mine and was having trouble contacting him. I did let him know that I was local. I told him that he should contact you immediately.

Thank you gentlemen. I'm hoping too that it is all just a case of someone being "too busy" to do the right thing as well." But I knda doubt it. I know he is at least getting his cell phone messages because his voice mail fills up then a day or so later you can leave messages again so someone is listening to them. Good Grief. I wonder if we could find out where or who he works for?
On a brighter note I joined the PCA recently and am waiting for my card to come back.
