Should I go? is it fun? is the Caravan coming thru Colorado?

What's it like? is it worth taking a week or two off of work for?

I'll tell ya what, I wouldn't drive from Colorado for it. Then again, I'm pushing 40 and don't have the faith in the car. It really is just a 2 day cook-out/camp out gathering of a bunch of Porsche people. We have a GREAT time, but it is just a 24 hour event. I understand your temptation.. I get a lot of e-mails asking why I don't host it somewhere ELSE closer to their homes. (?!?) I tell folks to host a get together of their own, share the spirit. The PCA Parade is in Texas that week, maybe that would be closer for ya. Anyway, when folks travel long distances, I feel a lot of pressure to make it worth such an odyssey. It's just a party.. I'd hate for someone to drive 30 hrs just to stand around with a frosty and look at cars, meet new friends, etc.. Then again, maybe you are in the MOOD for a Porsche road trip! The more the merrier!

I really want to go as well. There is NOTHING better then driving in a line of a bunch of porsches. Haven't driven with all 944's yet, since around here, its mostly higher end stuff, but that should be super cool! Anyways, I think a road trip in the porsche from LA to 944Fest would be amazing, though sleeping in the hatch is out of the question. (don't ask) I don't know if I'll be able to afford the trip. But if I do, and you decide to go, We'll meet up in colorado.Anyone else around here considering it? In reality, it's probably not likely I'll be going, but I'll try to and see what happens.

if i were in california, id derive to ohio for it. (then again im the nut who drove to california for a 3 day 912 gathering).

its worth going if you make it about more. take b-roads, not freeways, see the scenery, enjoy the landscape, and definitly enjoy the twisty roads.

see sights you have never seen before..

TAKE THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED!!!!! that makes all the difference.

Serious question -

Which would be more economical?

Getting a room up there and staying, or commuting back and forth all 3 days?

Friday I have school, so I would leave here around 4. The other days time isn't really an issue. I live in York so it's about a 45 minute drive to Hershey, but what's the traffic like?

Also, do I have to be a PCA member to go?

Is anybody getting info on caravans from different areas? I'll probably be maritally unsupervised that weekend, so I may as well indulge myself in my favorite vice- 944 Porsches

I'd be willing to meet up and drive along with anyone coming from points south of North Carolina.
