Default Speed/Ref. Sensors, are they the same?

1) Are they the same sensor (i.e. interchangable)?

2) Are all the models the same? Is the speed sensor from a 951 the same as that of an NA?

3) Anyone have one of them they are willing to part with real cheap, after the progress Hoosier Daddy and I made last night I might be driving this thing real soon!

Same sensor.

Even think the 944S and 968 sensors are the same. 951 for sure.

No. I have a know good for a spare. In all honesty you want to buy new when possible.

SoCal, I would love to buy a new one but to be honest, this project is so far over budget it isnt funny. IIRC, the sensors are in the 225 per range.

Yikes! I take it you did ohm out the sensors and checked that the shields were still isolated.

By the way Vertex lists this as the speedometer sensor for the 83's.

Didn't see the sensor listed on Paragons site. Doesn't mean they can't get it. See if they can match the Vertex price if higher. If lower buy two.

Interesting that Pelican Parts is a sponser too. They didn't list it either.

I know the feeling Matt, during my rebuild, many, many, many trips to the auto parts store, the hardware store and calls to Jason at Paragon.

And the budget, well....... that was shot to hell, just about doubled what I thought I was going to spend, and I am still buying things.

When you go out for the first drive it will all be worth it

True. Very true. A most likeable adiction.

In fact this is just getting me so hot I'm going to go out, get in the 944 and do few laps around the block!

Paragon offers much more than what is listed on the site. Paragon is not always they absolute cheapest, but there customer service is second to none and they are in the same state as Matt, so shipping should be a snap.

Just a very satisfied customer
