Default HELP-924S Leak- Coming from Right rear

Hi Rennlisters-

My 1988 924S has been leaking a fluid from the rear right area.
The fluid seems to have a brown color. I do not suspect it is from the shock, rather from the green mechanism pictured below (not sure what it is..). It looks moist and could be the culprit.
Car runs and drives well and have not noticed any abnormal braking.
Photos included below.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

the green thing is your fuel pump.
sure looks wet.

I imagine leaking gas could be dissolving years of built up grease and stuff which could present as brown goo.

Let me be the first to say the obvious: can you smell gas?
Slightly less obvious: are the garage floor stains a result of the leak? If so, what does it feel/smell like? Have you had a look underneath while the engine is on?

You guys were right... appears to be a leaking fuel line. Will have to replace. Anyone know the part # and where I can buy a replacement?
Photos of the leaking lines are attached.

Thanks for the help!

Here's a link to download the PET for your 924:

https://www.porsche.com/all/media/pd...88_KATALOG.pdf

Looking through it, it looks to me like you need something from illustration 201-03, page 52 in the pdf.

Good luck

While you're in there, be sure to do the rubber lines, clamps, and the filter as well.

If the pump is in that condition, the in-tank screen may have disintegrated also.
