Really depends on the intentions of the build. If your tracking it the you won’t need as much as if you are putting it on the streets.

The simple answer is the engine harness, ecu and motor with accessories will not needed. It all depends on what you are installing in place of like for example are you using 951 radiator or afternarket unit, factory or universal fans, using factory coolant tank, manual or hydro boost brake setup ect... So just depends, but most likely most of the stuff you pulled won’t be used unless you went above and beyound the call of duty lol.

I do plan on it being my race car and all that, I took off radiator, alternator, ac pump etc etc I'm jus paranoid bc I didnt keep any bolts and screws I jus tossed them to the side and the hoses I didnt even mark them lol

If you have now decided to build a 944 race car with an LS motor and 84 chassis the engine will likely be the easiest and cheapest part of the build. Start by stripping all the undercoating, then addressing the safety equipment like glass, seats, cage, tow, battery & fire, then look at lightening the body and without doubt you’ll have to upgrade the brakes suspension and transmission to handle the extra power.

Once you’ve done all the prep and upgrade work iaw the sanctioning body you intend to race, and which you should budget about $10-15k, the actual engine swap part is relatively easy.

Do you mean to suggest the stock transmission in an '84 won't handle the power of an LS???

There are many options for brake and suspension upgrades, try speaking to <Mike Lindsey> to start with for advise. Here’s a video of one of the most competent LS race car builds for inspiration.

Fyi, you won't be able *technically* to legally smog the car with an LS swap in California. There are NO factory exhaust manifolds or ARB-approved aftermarket headers that will fit around the 944 steering shaft.

You might get lucky and have your BAR referee ignore it or knowlingly pass it, but it's unlikely.

So this might be destined purely as a track car.

If you are going to track the car hard and don't want things to break, throw the entire front axle in the trash. Get motorsport late offset A-arms, late offset spindles, Brembo brakes (different options), floating rotors, and adjustable shocks with adjustable coilovers and motorsport camber plates. The rear, well, just start at the front.

At the very least replace the hollow LF spindle with a solid one.

Of course it can. The real question is how long do you want it to last? Seconds or minutes?
