Default Aftermarket Street Seats or Sport Seats

What is everyone using as far as aftermarket street seats go. I have a pair of electric sport seats that need to be recovered, but the foam on one of the bolsters and the seat area is pretty bad. I've been looking around for replacement foams but could not source them. Which is why Im looking at some aftermarket pair. Currently looking at the Sparco Street (needs to be recline-able since my two boys,4yr old and 10yr old like to ride with me ) with adjustable seat brackets from http://wedgebrackets.com/porsche-944...-brackets.html. Any one car to share their seat and mount setup? Thanks

I’ve got similar Sparcos in mine. Original black seats were all split and nasty looking.

Found a used set locally that were just about a spot-on match for the Can Can red carpet set I was planning on installing. Came with sliders. I just went to the Sparco site and got the mounting bases for the 944.

iv tried sparco r100 and found them not comfy at all but im quite small too. sides would hold much better for medium or large size gangstas.
iv now got corbeau boss evo 2 seats, they are much better but not yet in the car, there are some orignal sports seats also available from UK i believei saw recenlty, not in leather.

There was a thread in the turbo sub-forum about Braum seats, which I think are an interesting alternative. https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...aum-seats.html

Foams are still available from Porsche, pricey, yes, but they can be had.

Don't be afraid to consider salvaging your foam. You can buy foam blocks from upholstery supply houses (on the mainland). It can easily be carved with an electric carving knife like is used to cut cooked meat. You can practice with some of the foam that is sold in craft stores (Jo-Ann's where I live). They typically max out at 2" thickness. You might be able to get by with this foam by gluing layers together. You have to be careful. Some glues immediately dissolve the foam. Experiment.

Any good upholstery shop can recreate all the foam in the same density and shape as stock. Really it’s what they do everyday and it’s not an expensive process.

wow these look great! If an upholstery shop could replicate foam then I would be inclined to keep my sport seats. I would get the kit from L-seat and have the shop install and repair foam. Probably cheap this way since shipping seats to Hawaii costs as much as the pair of seats, lol. Got quoted $550 for just shipping from California. Thanks for the input guys.

Definitely don’t use L-seat if you plan on keeping the car, the leather is poor quality and doesn’t last. Do some research and read some past reviews:

1) https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...seats-com.html

2) https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...with-pics.html (Especially read the feedback by the op in post #38)

You basically get what you pay for in leather, if you don’t have the budget for good quality leather ftw use the German vinyl versions made by Only944.com which have had overall great reviews.

Did not see the bad reviews on L-Seat. Only944 looks really well priced also, so I might go with them as I do intend to keep the car. Much Appreciated!

If you go with recaro or a bottom mount 16" x16" seat I have a pair of the height adjustable recaro tracks (aka sliders) I want to sell.

Definitely don't buy L-seat. I was the OP in one of the threads that MAGK944 posted. After only a few thousand miles over a few years, the driver seat is in shreds. They were fun and exciting to install, but now I am counting down the days until I can get them redone professionally.

The problem with L-seat leather is the poor quality, and it's paper thin.
