Default Braum Seats

Has anyone tried these seats in their 944? https://www.braumracing.com/ I've seen good reviews on them. I know they're not track seats, and my car is not intended to go on the track. That said, for a pair of seats, these seem to be a good looking seat and a good price, for a pair! The ones I'm interested in are the venom series with black cloth and red stitching. This series is a little taller than the others, which is good for guys over 6ft like myself. The elite series are nice and all, but my car's interior is black, and gets very HOT in the summer. So I'd like to give the cloth a try instead.

Never heard of them but those venom series look good.

I'm also over 6 feet. I've tried Recaro SRDs in a similar configuration (black cloth with red trim) and can confirm they they looked so effing cool in the car, and were not too hot in the summer (I'm in the South). I eventually had to remove them, as I was a it too wide for them.

Those Braum seats look just ask good, and they specifically mentioned they accommodate a 38" waist. If you try them, please share you impressions.

These look great. I’ve been considering some Corbeau FX1 seats https://www.summitracing.com/parts/c...0aAka0EALw_wcB

But I think I like the look of the Braum seats more for about the same price.

I just installed a set and really like them. I got them because they fit up to a 38 inch waste. I am 5' 10" 220 pounds and fit with no problem.

Any pics? Would love to see them in one of our cars. Also, I’m 5’8” 160 so maybe these wouldn’t be a great fit.

I can take pictures tomorrow. At that weight I would go with the Corbeau A4. I really like them but my shoulders were to wide for them.

Will do, and I'll post pics. I haven't ordered them yet, as it's still about a couple months away from getting the car on the road.

Hello again! It's been awhile, but I finally got the seats and just got them in the car today! I got Planted brackets to mount them to, and the seats came with their own sliders that I used. I did have to do a bit of drilling into the brackets, and I also had to drill 2 of the sliders and notch all of them in one spot to get everything to go together. But after a lot of head scratching and choice words, it all came together quite nicely. So without further ado, here we go:

They actually look very sharp, and I like the perforations. Hopefully that helps with keeping the 'swack' down.

1st seat in. Here you can see the difference between new and old. No comparison.

And the final product.

My first impression was they are firm, but surprisingly comfortable. The bolstering provides a good mix between holding you in your seat, without needing a helper to lift you up out of the seat. I'm 6'2", and overall they fit me very well. I think the red stitching is a nice accent that I can build off of as I continue to gentrify the interior. These seats do recline, which is a feature I specifically made sure to have.

Overall, it was quite a bit of messing around figuring out how to get these to fit all together, but I'm very happy with the results. Now if I could just get the damn car running, I could actually enjoy sitting in the seats (and listening to the sweet sound of my GT30 spool up to 21psi).

Nice. Looks like a very inviting interior. While you’re waiting to get the engine running, you have a great place to sit and make engine noises. Let’s see that 300zx...

Can you operate the e-brake? From the picture above, it looks like there's quite a bit of interference. I need a wider seat as well, and I'm sure there will have to be some kind of compromise somewhere, but I need to be able to operate the e-brake.

I'm looking at seat replacements, hoping to find something in the next few days.

There is no interference with the ebrake.
