IF it snows, like the forecast is calling for tonight, I'm going to get the local Voodoo preist to cast a spell on all you guys with bad luck!!

IF there is snow and ice on the route, I'll reschedule for next Saturday. I'll post on this thread what it looks like on Friday.

Argh.....worst thing would be that lots of people who'd go out and drive on a cold day won't want to be out with the roads freshly salted again anyway. Doesn't look like it's going to miss us unfortunately.

Maybe we can sacrifice a virgin? Wait..that's for King Kong and volcanoes....

I'm about to the point of seriously considering it. The weather around here has been snow and ice nearly every weekend lately. Time to stop!!!

Man, it better not snow. I can't do it for the next to weekends. This sounds like such a blast. Are you going to go if the roads are wet but not icey?

Yup, wet not a problem. The real issue up here is similar to what you deal with at high elevations in the Blue Ridge. The southern exposures can be totally clean, but let the road loop around to north side and presto, black ice. I don't think it will be that bad since it's been fairly warm around here lately. Most likely, we'll only have wet stretches to deal with and I don't care if my car gets wet, it's not a garage queen.

DARN!!!! Goat Guts wrong again.

Looks like we'll have to delay till 3/6 since we're supposed to get 8-10 inches up here in Stokes County. That amount won't melt enough to make the route safe till about Monday, even if the temps do get up into the 60's on Saturday. We'll still be leaving at the same time from the same place. Those who had schedule conflicts just had that resolved, so come on over!

I would realy like to go, but other plans where made long ago, so I can't change them. Let me know.

In case you havent noticed, when I got to AK they have had a dry spell (no snow). shortly after me getting here we had record snowfall. I think sacrificing me might anger the snow gods. Anyway, what are you doing on the rlist? Dont you have classes to attend or something?
