It wouldn't be a day here at Rennlist without a new post about "Rice", or someone re-hashing an old one (in this case). Based on the date, I would have to guess that this was the 679th post about rice. I think we are currently waiting on the 893rd post, which, should happen later on this evening or tomorrow morning.

I wouldn't consider it rice, just unnecessary. Rice would be a kid putting a Porsche banner on a Fiero.

I think they're cool on track cars, but otherwise best left alone.

I put a translucent "PORSCHE" windshield banner on my 951 - it's on the dark tinted stripe at the top of the window and is very subtle. I like it a lot. Rice ? Who cares.

Windshield banners were around long before the 'ricer' fad. I remember having a white Goodyear eyebrow on my '66 GTO. Was running Goodyear wrinkle-walls on the street.

While it's something that ricers do, I wouldn't say that putting a banner on equates to rice. It's not my thing, but if you want to do it, then do it.

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that those banners do draw some unwanted attention from the police, and may be illegal in some areas. Ask me how I know...

im sorry.. huge window decals, while they might not look rice, they still look tacky. and yes.. as much as i love renlist, and admire the rennlisters who have the big ones in their window.. they still look tacky. (no offense guys.. just a matter of taste, but sticker or no sticker, youre still cool in my book).

id prefer a small modest decal in the qtr window if anything at all..
