Default Manual sunroof latch install

I have converted my sunroof over to manual latches. The problem, however, is the little plastic plate that the latch tongue goes into doesn't have the proper mount on the arch. Does anyone have any diagrams and/or pictures of what that mount looks like? This was an early 944 install and I need to see how they did this so my latches can securely and tightly hold the sunroof down and secure.

my manual latches just grab onto the "base plate" of the old power sunroof sliders.
13 years, seals tight...

Are you able to adjust the grip? Mine is not pulling the sunroof down tight. You mentioned "base plate". I removed everything from the powered sunroof mechanism so what I have left is just the metal lip of the arch.

that piece doesn't attach to sunroofs that were originally power - there's just no provisions for it to screw to.
