NZ951, painting the center caps is really easy. Just basically need to spray them, then buy something like paint markers to detail the crest...then spray clear-coat and you are done. I painted mine about 4-5 months ago, still holding up to the salt, sand and whatever else has gotten onto the wheels since then.

Okie dokie, first off, DON'T CHROME THE WHEELS.
it may look cool, but it poses a serious safety hazard (or so I am told).
From what I hear there is a TSB about chroming the alloy wheels. The chrome will eat them away or something.
Although the black wheels with chrome center caps looks cool. I dont' know about the crome rims on them.

So no one likes the orange, huh? Well, despite the most number of votes for Anthracite, I think the white makes the most convincing case. I'll spray the PDs white this week and hopefully post pics next weekend. Thank for the input!

I am a big fan of keeping them the way the factory intended them to look. However, depending on the car I could easily have my mind changed (some cool colors on some track rims maybe)! Best wishes - Jay Gratton

She's no concours winner, but I want to keep the car looking like what the factory MIGHT have done -- or anything that stays somewhat in line with the Porsche tradition. So white is acceptable to me.
Here's a dark car with white wheels. Probably wouldn't look as nice with out the race decals to match.
BTW, does anyone know if there was any other white used besides Alpine White -- I'm wondering what's the best white...
