Angry Ran in to a truck today

Not a fun day today. I was picking up my wheel from the tireshop and while i was pulling up to the bay i ran over a small patch of ice and ran right in to a late 80's S-10 with a hitch on. Man i was pissed. Messed up my left light, lower part of the bumper and front fender, nothing happened to the S-10's steel bumper. I will take some pics when i get home in about 3H and post them here. So my question to all of you guys when i post the pics will be what you think i will need to replace and where to get the parts. I will turn it in to insurance monday and to my brother-in-laws bodyshop(he does restoration & insurance work) and i take it he will contact a porsche dealer to get the parts right? I do have the fiberwerks bumper in the garage so i have a good reason to put that on now.

about 20 miles north of indianapolis.

About 1 month ago there was rennlist member with a black 944 or 951 that had a wreck and it looked pretty bad, it was on his front left tire, he posted some pics of it when it was done and looked really good. I cant remember who it was but i would like to know how the body shop got the parts, Porsche dealership?
Man im still mad, it only took 3 seconds and i was sliding about 4 mph but that 3 seconds felt like 3 long min. I was hoping it was just going to bump in to the S-10's bumper but it didnt. Have i said im still mad?
Ill post some pics in about 2H.

Cool

Tifosiman,

What distance was your time trial? I used to love the 4000 metre tt! Set state record (almost 40 years ago, not quite). The guy who broke that record was the highest placing U.S. rider at the Munich Olympics later on.

Oh, and come to think of it...

Has anyone "run into" Savage 944 out there!

I think he moved to indiana somewhere. Hope you're doing well, Savage, let us know about your prowlings! Hope you've began your spiritual quest into traditional dance!

Jim,

It was a 40K. i think my time was around 54:30ish. It was very windy that day, an out-and-back course. I generally preferred shorter, 10 mile TT's.
That was the last race I did before I became sick and ended up having to quit/retire. Now I am just riding for fun/fitness......and my metabolism has finally caught up to me......

The car has not got painted yet or had the fiberworks bumper put on. I have the bumper in my garage. I did talk to my brother in law today and he told me to bring it in mon-tuesday and he will get the headlight fixed/ordered and start the painting prosess and put the bumper on. Ill post pics here in about 1H and you guys let me know what you think i will need to replace. Im thinking the front left fender, the left headlight and the nose panel.

perfect time for that to happen though, just before a respray. Since he's your brother in law, he'll let you BYOPs .. save a few bucks and save him a little hassle
