Anyone recognize these guys?
1986 SCCA Escort Endurance race. I don't recognize the track. I think the guy in the driver's suit is Geoff Provo. Any help greatly appreciated.

There is a Carlsen Porsche dealership in Redwood City, CA that used to sponsor 944 race teams. You might give them a call. There logo looks just like the one on the car

Yeah, I tried contacting Carlsen through their dealer website. No response. I thought about calling, but who do you ask for? "The old guy who has been there since the '80's and remembers the racing program?
Just to confuse things, here's the same car, only now with Anderson/Behel on the hood. Looks like maybe Sears Point.

The pics were with the documentation when I bought my ITS race car. I'm trying to trace its roots and verify its heritage. Since it is almost 20 years old, I'm contemplating restoring the exterior to its original paint scheme, which isn't the one shown above. Supposedly, it was originally a Firehawk car in '85. That's why I'd like to contact someone who was with Carlsen in '85 or '86.

From JME website:
"In 1985, Jon Millege and Walt Maas won the Firehawk Gran Sport Championship with the Norelco Cup awarded to Jon. The primary sponsor for this effort was Carlsen Porsche of Palo Alto, California. In 1986 Carlson arranged for support from Porsche and Quaker State to campaign a 944 Turbo in the Escort Endurance series. Jon & Walt were co-drivers until Walt decided to retire. Price Cobb & Drake Olsen drove with Jon for the rest of the season. The engines for 1985 and 1986 were prepared by Jon."
You should call Jon Millege ((781) 834-3932), I'm sure he could give you some leads. However yours wasn't the car he drove, his was the #91 Carlson sponsored car in '85 Firehawk series.
Edit: I re-read your post and note that you said the pics above aren't the original paint scheme. So yours could be the #91 '85 Firehawk championship car...how cool would that be? You can see a pic of his 944 on his website (www.jmengines.com).

I think I will give Jon a call. Originally I thought I had a different car, but when I looked at the "89" on the side of the car on a different monitor, you can see where tape was added to change the number.
From Porsche Motorsport News, June / July 1986:
Does anyone have final results of the 1986 season? SCCA site only goes back to the late 90's.
From Porsche Motorsport News, June / July 1986:
Porsche's 944 is quickly establishing itself as the car to beat in the 1986 edition of Sports Car Club of America's (SCCA) Escort Endurance Championship for showroom stock cars.
Pitted against larger-engined Chevy Camaros, Ford Mustangs, Nissan 300ZX Turbos, and Audi Quattros, the nimble machine has already tallied a pair of SSGT Class victories in the opening two races of the season.
Remarkably, both wins were scored by the same car that carried drivers Walt Mass, Jon Milledge, and Porsche to the 1985 IMSA Firestone Firehawk Endurance Championship. New owner Dr. Barney Gardner and fellow Northern California drivers Geoff Provo and Gregg Doran continued the 944's winning tradition this season capturing the April 26 SCCA Escort 6-Hour season opener at Sears Point and the follow-up 4-hour Portland event two weeks later.
Inspired and encouraged by their performance, Gardnew and his Delta G Racing team now plan on contesting and winning the Escort Endurance SSGT Championship in 1986.
