'89 944 N/A, Fall of '09, 148,000, $3200

Seller was selling out of frustration due to random and complete engine power loss issues. Spent 15 minutes patching some bad wiring at the AFM and she's run like a champ ever since.

Traded a turn key 2006 Spitfire IMCA dirt modified race car with new 358 ci SBC V8 and Dart race heads. Set up for methanol with C&S carb, KSE tandem power steering/fuel pump. I got totally ripped off, but couldn't even get anyone to look at my racecar. Have driven the 944 for over 4000 miles since I got it in April. Spent about $2000 in parts fixing stuff and learned a bunch. I will probably have spent a lot less than if I raced a season. Also got much more seat time. Fun factor is higher overall with the 944.

I bought my 86 944 n/a with 75,000 miles for $1,500 last week. The interior is perfect and by that I mean not one tear or crack or after-market item. It looks like it just came off the assembly line. It does have a couple of dents one being on the rear quarter panel where the PO said someone backed into it. They should all pull out easy though.
All I have needed to buy for it were timing belts. Besides that and the body work it should be good to go for awhile. Though I am feeling a slight vibration @ 3000 rpm and from searching the forum I think it sounds like the rubber clutch is falling apart.

Oh and I am the third owner.
