85.5 944NA/Mar 1991/54,000/$8,000 - except for a split in driver's side leather was in nearly new condition. Purchased locally from a school teacher.
Advertised in Excellence and sold Dec 1998 at 83,000 w/ new spring centered clutch and recovered seats for $5,000 and original timing belts as far as I know. Never knew about the recommended timing belt replacement until after I sold it. Was driven from MS to OH by new owner.

1987 944NA/January 2008/113k/$2800
3rd owner, second owner had car for 5 years before his kids got to big to fit in it and the car got parked.
spent $700 wrapping eagle GT's around it the day after buying the car, it had sat for 2 years in his garage and put a flat spot on all 4 brand new tires.
$250 in an alternator 6 months later, $250 in a transmission 6 months after that, and that's really all she's cost me, so far!
have never owned a car i love driving as much!

Very straight Ebay find that needed a engine. I found a engine for basically free and had about another $350 in fluids and clutch parts. I have total about $1400(and a lot of wrenching) in this car and it is ready to drive anywhere. PO did a lot of work to this car in addition to new amped Blaupunkt stereo and new interior. Also mostly new suspension and new tires. Never been wrecked and hope to repaint it at some point. Not a huge fan of the stripes but they do kind of grow on you.

1986 NA/ Oct 2006/ $5000 Supposed 35,000mi at purchase
LSD, M474, 15" Fuchs
Everything was really clean when I bought the car, but, there was an obviously a not well done repaint and some bondo. Dash was not cracked, frame looked straight (turned out later there was some slight damage). There was a more than expected amount of wear on the drivers seat bolster, also several relays missing (?!!). Originally an Ohio car, and carfax shows it being owned by several dealerships over the years. The biggest thing that sold me on the car was the engine runs immaculately and the trans shifts perfect. The car has had a hard life, but I have been doing alot to bring it back from the edge to everything I want it to be.
