Look Tom, we'll drop it because there's nothing personal in this from me to you. I've done some pretty crazy things when I was about Freeker's age because I did not have a father to protect me from myself. I am determined to save my son from the fate which almost took my life. Enjoy your day Tom. Let's warm up some coffee and move on to sharing other stories.
With Regards,
Peter

I'm always happy Tom.
I was just speaking to your statement about a 'modded' Camaro out handling astock early 944.
If you're happy with the Camaro, that's great. I've had a few and I'd rather forget about them.

Pete,
after what i lost on the S2, the driving experience comes second to the wallet hemmoriging. I am content driving the Z28. I was happy drivng the S2. I wasn't happy paying and paying for the S2, but that wasnt the cars fault, that was the butcher that worked on the head before i bought the cars fault.
I had a second generation camaro, and had extensive wheel time in a third gen firebird. the fourth gen (or shoud i say my modded fourth gen) is a different beast.

From: Central Illinois. Cornfields a plenty.
I'm thinking of building a 97 Camaro with a 2.5 liter Porsche motor?
I prefer slow takeoffs and sub standard handling. I Like a lot of body roll in exits and tagging guardrails with the rear end at 50 mph due to excessive oversteer.. And I want heat right away in the cabin during the winter.
has anyone done this mod ??!!
(Chris smiling while stirring up a bigpot of $hit!)
I'm obviously kidding- lighten up before I have to request this go to the abyss.. play nice. Freeker: An opinion is like an a-hole- everyone has one. Dont take it to heart. I'm not for or against anyone on this debacle- it's kinda fun to watch it all unfold. The purists vs. the others. same post different day.
Oh yeah, Don't streetrace. Take it to the track.

Porsche's, Camero's and death threats, OH MY.
I love my 944. I have endured criticism for purchasing it. I have clenched my teethe and hearing prices for parts. I have borrowed money to fix the car. I have gone into financial instability to keep my car a reliable daily driver. I have spent many hours in, and under my car working on it.
And yes, I have even SHED BLOOD FOR MY 944 ::creepy dissonant violins in the background::
Despite having a special place in my heart, I wouldn't mind a used convertible Camero for those days I would like wind in my hair, the music of 8 pounding cylinders in my ears, and the rush of pulling away from stop lights, actually seeing Japanese imports in my rearview mirror.
(okay okay, I would love to have a 951 too, but the convertibles are pricey)
