Have you changed the size of the 993 headlight to fit the 968?

Youd be better off and be truer to the "Porsche" look by using 993 lights but check out www.968.net there are thread there about it, I think the idead was abandoned as too costly/too difficult.

I wonder if your rear scoop could be made functional to cool the brakes??

My father has a turbo 944 but wants to put the scoops in the sides and make them functional to his brakes. So I'll see how it works out with him.

kgain968-

I personally don't want it too look like it came from porsche. I want it to look as good as possible..and custom. Just a hint of porsche. Kinda like Pinaferina does to ferraris. I want to be the only one to have a setup like that.

Rich-
the angle is not the same I know..that's why you use fiberglass fenders and make the angle correct and then redo the fenders to make it look right. I know it might sound like it would be really hard, but it's not that hard..just time consuming. I do all my own work anyways. I'm not too shabby at what I do either. I plan on getting all the dimensions and putting it into CAD to make it look right. I agree, I wouldn't want it too like S#$@. But everything I have done on any car has been show quality. Thanks you the good points made though. I just need to get a hold of some of the parts and measure and take a look.

The Pininfarina analogy isn't spot on; they haven't really done any custom work for Ferrari since the 60's, with the exception of a few cars for the Sultan of Brunei. Maybe you meant Koenig? Pininfarina does overall styling for their production cars these days, eg the new Scaglietti, Enzo, etc.

Since this thread has all these photo shops in it, I'm curious to see what 968 style headlights would look like on a 944. Replace the bonet and headlight covers with a one piece panel, contoured and cut for the 968 ones. I am not planning on doing it, I was just curious a while back to see what it looked like. Who's up for the challange?

I love the 993 lights on the 968. I think the angle of the lens makes it perfect

Cheers,
Sach
