There may be a "1989 924S." I say "may" because I have never seen it but have some pictures. It had the oval dash instead of the 3 hole in 924s. It was most likely a prototype, as the documentation I saw with it stated that, unless this was somebody's hack job or promotional gimmick. As far as buying one, I don't think that is possible. This was the link it was at but it's not working anymore:

If you will PM me and provide your email address I will send what I have.

The internet shows at least 1 other one may exist too.
Just looking to to find out how many might actually exist.
Thank you in advance,

It’s one that I had never seen before and I’ve been dealing with Porsche ‘s for 30+ years.
Thats why I was asking here to see if anyone else had seen such a car.
I am currently trying to figure out all of the history on this potentially rare car.

What engine is in it? Like the rest of the 89s is it the M44.11?
And the reason I ask about the VIN, I know of at least 1 944 that was converted to 924 looks by replacing the rear fenders, and then bolting 924 fenders on the front. Why it was done, I have no idea. But I found it a few years ago when I was considering using a 944 turbo as the basis of a 924 GTS tribute built.
