I hit 195mph in my stock 951 the other day, still had more to go I think.

Oh, did I mention I have 245/145/R16 rear tires? ZOOM ZOOM

A 145 profile? That's a 306mm sidewall, (In this case, the 145 would represent 145 percent of 245mm) 306mm is roughly a foot. So, Adrial's 245/145-R16's would yeild a tire / wheel height of more than three feet.

Adrial: I think you meant 245/45-R16's....

-Z-man.

PS: Sorry for the slam, Adrial. but hey, look at the posting time: it's late (2:31am) and I just spent three hours trying to fish out a piece of metal that my bro in law dropped into the spark plug hole of his car. (No, not my bro-in-law who owns a 944N/A, the other one with the MR2....)

Ok as entertained as I was for the past 1/2 hour I gave up at around page 23... So does this chump ever list what he dumped into his engine and where he got it from, or at least show everyone a few pics... I'm pretty sure we would shut up pretty quick if he actually had 194 hp and for $2700 to boot... So I'm dying to know, what the hell has he done???? cuz then I won't have to worry about buying a 951

Yeah, its 2:31AM...and your brain isn't working!

I said I hit a top speed of 195mph...well with a tire as tall as a 245/145-R16 it wouldn't require going anywhere near 195mph to see an indicated 195mph on the speedo. ...Conclusion? I WIN hehehehe...

Have you tried flipping the MR2 upside down to get that piece of metal out? That oughta do the trick...

--Adrial...geting antzy for the track season already! Also sometimes wondering how that pile of parts in the garage will turn into an engine again, and then how that engine will become an engine powering a 944.

Hehe: it was late and I was tired... Hey, I'm not one of them "I can stay up all night and still go to class" college kids anymore...

Update on the situation: we finally got the piece out. The tool: sticky tape wrapped around the end of a flexible straw, attached to a tube, attached to a shop vac. And about 5 hours of fishing around....

Tell me about it! Lime Rock I is April 1-2: Can't wait!! Last week, I installed the Redline rollbar: real nice piece, looks great, and feels sturdy! (Not that I want to test it!!!) We're working on the NNJR track & tech calendar this week, so it's in the forefront of my mind!

Va-room!

How does Friday work for you? I need to be in Short Hills that evening for a meeting...

I see no problem with that.... Lime Rock & Pocono back to back in April is a difficult thing to pass up. I'd tell Maria that you've got all this spare time now, and wish to put it to good use...

Cool, I just wasted 2 hours reading this thread while working. Time for a pee break.

I think that it's actually John that's Nextonline (or whatever the name is). Notice that he didn't post in this thread at all? Hmmm..

Ok. That was my input. Helped kill the afternoon.

Dal.

hmmm in my 944, the speedo is off a little bit but i still think my top speed is 0mph, i might have gotten up to 3 when i was pushing it up the driveway though... other cars, race prepped mustang gt, on the I95 we got to 150 and got scared, got a pic where speedo says 165/170. . . but look at the tach.. lol the speedo fuse burned and hte needle fell foreward... it was fun to trick friends with... hehe

Shew,

Friday's good, call or E me for directions, I'm right on the Short Hills border.

The time thing isn't an issue, I always end up blowing more $$$ than expected on thing like this (DE/Zone AX, anything where food and lodging is involved... and car parts).

Actually, I was blaming Adrial!

Hey... the last gear hasn't got to be the fastest one... it's just there to go on lower rpm's at high speeds... Most cars won't get high rpms on the last gear, since at lower rpms they have already got the max speed and can't work more...

... I think :P
